Javanese Traditional Food Recipe: Gadon



This is one of my family’s favorite. Every time gadon is available, my siblings and I can eat until 3 rounds non stop.. 😀

I tried to cook this food 2 times. The first attempt was a failure… Disaster!! But the second one was successful… 🙂

– 100  grams meat, minced
– 100 ml coconut milk
– 1 egg
– 5 cloves shallot
– 4 cloves garlic
– salt
– 1/2 tbs sugar
– 1 tbs coriander
– banana leaf

1. Mix all the ingredients in a blender/food processor (except for banana leaf).
2. Wrap in a banana leaf.
3. Steam for 45 minutes.
